We want to start by saying thank you! Thank you for the giving of your time and treasure to support the Diocese of Gaylord and Bishop Walsh in his ministry as a successor of the Apostles.
Since the formation of the Diocese of Gaylord in 1971, the Catholic Services Appeal (CSA) has been both an invitation and opportunity to support the programs, services and ministries within our diocese and around the world. Through our collective efforts, the CSA is the primary source of funding for the programs and ministries directed by our bishop, providing support to our parishes as well as most of the special national and international collections typically taken up as second collections in other dioceses.

A little bit about our bell’s patron saint: Aloysius de Gonzaga (Italian: Luigi Gonzaga; 9 March 1568 – 21 June 1591) was an Italian aristocrat who became a member of the Society of Jesus. While still a student at the Roman College, he died as a result of caring for the victims of a serious epidemic. He was beatified in 1605 and canonized in 1726.
Saint Aloysius Gonzaga is the Patron Saint of:
Catholic Youth
Teenagers
Seminarians
Any funds donated over and above our goal will be returned to our parish for the repair of our bell system.
At our parish church our St. Louis Gonzaga bell has not been able to swing for many years. The original swinging mechanism is from the 1970s. We have been working with Verdin Bells to get an estimate to install a new swinging device and computer system to schedule the bell ringing. With a new system in place our bell would be able to ring before Masses calling us to worship and ring out announcing to our town that we have been sent out into the world as His disciples. At Christmas and Easter we would also be able to ring our bell during the Gloria announcing Our Lord’s birth and resurrection.
Our bell is dedicated and blessed by the intercession of St. Louis de Gonzaga. It was originally forged in Louvain, Belgium for Eglise Ste. Anne – Alpena, Mich by Felix Van Aerschodt Fondeur.
