All Saints Catholic Women

All women of All Saints Parish are automatic members.  Active members come together for spirituality, socialization, and to provide service to Church and Community.  Retreats, prayer and speakers are planned to help us grow spiritually.  Socialization through meal sharing, meetings and service action.  Fund raising in a variety of ways to support needs of the parish and community.

Daughters of Isabella

An organization of Catholic women that uphold the teachings of the Catholic Church, bring spiritual benefits to members and contribute to the common good of humanity.  Charitable endeavors that benefit organizations such as Ronald McDonald House, Karmanos Cancer Center, Breast Cancer Awareness, Right to Life and Youth activities.  Meetings are held in Rogers City, MI.

Emmaus Young Adult Group

We are a group of young adults who gather for prayer, faith-sharing, and fellowship. The Emmaus Young Adult group is open to all young adults between 21 and 39 years member of age, or a returning member.

Children’s Faith Formation

Religious education for children in grades K-5 where volunteers are sometimes needed to help in the classroom or to prepare supplies needed for classes or family events.

**To help in the classroom with the Children’s Faith Formation, Youth Ministry or REDD a background check must be done along with Virtus training (an online Child Protection Training).

 Youth Ministry

Encompasses Jr High (6th-8th grade) through Sr. High (9th -12th grade) where volunteers are sometimes needed to help chaperone or make dinners when needed. Youth ministry shares a meal each week.

Religious Education for the Developmentally Disabled/Challenged where volunteers are sometimes needed to help in the classroom or prepare supplies needed for a craft for class.

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults where volunteers are sometimes needed to share their story of faith with those wanting to come into the Catholic Church.

All Saints Parish Office Support

There is a great amount of detail “behind the scenes” to make the work of our parish operate smoothly. Volunteers will be asked to support the work of the office that serves our parish with small and large projects alike doing duties such as data entry, stuffing inserts, putting together mailings.

All Saints School

Volunteers at the school help in the cafeteria, library and in the classroom.  Help is needed with fund raisers, such as, Christmas Bazaar, Catholic Schools Week and Christmas Store.

Baby Pantry

This is a statewide program that works to prevent child abuse and neglect. Volunteers sort clothing, bag diapers, clean equipment the second Wednesday of each month (9:00 to 12:00).   Wait on families the 3rd Thursday of each month
(9:00 AM – 3:00 PM).

Options Pregnancy Center

Options Pregnancy Center supports women who are learning about their pregnancy and need help, while empowering the community to be a life giving source of that support.  Volunteers are needed to help plan and put forward fundraising events or to assist with administrative tasks in the office.  Volunteers may also be trained in direct care of clients.

Children’s Closet

A Christian ministry that provides new or gently used clothing to needy children in our area.  2 giveaways each year to those referred to by several agencies.  Pick-up clothing, sort and prepare rooms for giveaways.  Sorting done once a week every Thursday at 10:00 located at St. Bernard School.

Knights of Columbus

The K of C’s has grown to be the largest Catholic organization in the world with principles of charity, unity, fraternity and patriotism.  General membership meetings are the 1st Wednesday of each month at 7:00 pm.

Knights of Columbus Auxiliary

The women aid the K of C Council.  The Auxiliary is open to any catholic woman that is in good standing with the church.   The women financially give to the Council and to Catholic Organizations.  The women have their own fund raisers and assist the K of C with their fund raisers.

Society of St. Vincent de Paul

This is a group of laity who serve the surrounding community with needs such as food, clothing, heat, medical water and any other requests.  Service is provided through home visit, work in the food pantry or store and in special projects.   Conference Meetings 1st Monday at 6:30 PM and Council Meetings 3rd Tuesday at
5:30 PM – both meet at All Saints Parish Center.

Funeral Luncheons

There are several teams that rotate serving at the meal.  They set-up tables, provide beverages, serve desserts and clean up following.  Time serving is usually 5 hours.  There is a need for people willing to make salads and desserts if unable to serve. Contact Person:  Pam Boyk 356-1721

“Beads & Brews” Men’s Rosary 

Prayer Line

Meet 2nd Monday except July.  Start with pot luck and review prayer list.  Fan out calls to members of whom to pray for.  Prayers are daily until there is no longer a need.  Meeting is the 2nd Monday at 6:00 PM at the All Saints Parish Center.

Rosary Society of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Prayer Group with devotion to and recitation of the Holy Rosary.  Each person is assigned a decade of the rosary to say daily for one month and then rotate.  Sponsor May and October Marian devotions and Scriptural Rosary on Wednesday nights.  May Crowning for All Saints School in May.  Provide flowers for Marian Shrine.  September is the annual meeting.

To become a homebound Eucharistic Minister or to lead the Rosary in select group homes.

Altar Linens Ministry

Presently there is a need to cover cleaning altar server gowns, vestment care and larger altar cloths especially at St. Anne Church.  Substitutes are needed for weekly care.

Eucharistic Ministers (Church and Homebound)

Serve at Mass and/or to the homebound.  Must be in full initiation into the church and a registered member.
Have the utmost reverence for the Body and Blood of Christ.  Complete Diocesan Eucharistic Training Workshop.

Proclaim the Word of God at Mass with a confident speaking voice, read scripture to understand context, practice and pray.  Be in full initiation into the church and complete the Lector Training Workshop.

At least six ushers are needed at each Mass to greet and welcome people when entering the church, take up the collection for the day and to guide the congregation when receiving communion. There are 272 weekend Masses a year plus Holy Day Masses. Many ushers are needed to cover all these Masses so any given person doesn’t have to usher every week. All are needed and all are welcome.

Liturgical Environment

This involves decorating the church for different seasons.  Easter and Christmas are times needed for extra help.  There is a need for fresh flowers weekly.  Contact Betty if you can help provide flowers.
